How to Install Software Without Admin Rights on Windows 10 | Jan 2023

2. Create a new folder on your desktop and drag the software installer into the folder.

If you can’t create a new folder in Windows 10, then take a look at our step-by-step guide dedicated to creating new folders that will help you fix the issue.

How do I install software without admin rights?

annotation1. Download the software that you wish to install on a Windows 10 PC. In our example, we will install Steam. It is recommended that you set the download location to the desktop for convenience. Else, if it gets downloaded in the Download folder, as is the usual case, drag it to your desktop. This is just for convenience and has no bearing on the actual process. 2. Create a new folder on your desktop and drag the software installer into the folder. 3. Open the folder and Right-click, then New, and Text Document. 4. Launch the text file you just created and write the following codes: set _COMPAT_LAYER=RunAsInvoker Start SteamSetup 5. Here, SteamSetup needs to be replaced with the name of the particular installer that you wish to install. 6. Save the text file with the .bat extension in the same folder location. 7. For that, click on File, then Save As. 8. In the Save As dialog box, replace the .txt file extension with .bat. 9. Click on Save. 10. Close the Steam.bat file.

Posted: July 8, 2020 by Nathan Collier We discovered yet another phone model with pre-installed malware provided from the Lifeline Assistance program via Assurance Wireless by Virgin Mobile.

Just like the UMX U683CL, the ANS UL40 comes infected with a compromised Settings app and Wireless Update app

Although this may be true, they are not infected with the same malware variants. The infections are similar but have their own unique infection characteristics. Here’s a rundown of the infected apps.

How to Use ADB and Fastboot on Android (And Why You Should) | Oct 2020

What Are ADB and Fastboot? ADB and Fastboot are utilities that unlock access to the Android system while your phone is connected to a desktop computer via a USB cable. The computer and cable are integral to this—there's no app version

You normally use ADB when Android is running. It enables you to access system folders, or tweak hidden settings, which are otherwise off-limits to users. You can copy system files to and from the device using ADB, and there's also a sideload function that can be used to install system updates.

Fastboot works when Android is not running and the device is booted into "Fastboot mode" instead. It enables you to access all your device's partitions—not just the Android system, but also the data partition, the boot partition, and so on.

Delete these Android apps right now for better performance! | Dec 2021

Apps that claim to save RAM

Memory and battery life are used to restart the apps, and this constant closing and restarting of apps can make your phone not only slower but also consume more battery.

Furthermore, Android manages RAM usage automatically and knows when to run an app or not, so third-party apps aren't necessary.

How Factory Reset Protection (FRP lock) works on Android | Sept 2017

Factory Reset Protection is a built-in security feature introduced by Google in March 2015 for all Android devices running Android 5.1 and higher.

Factory Reset Protection, in simple words, prevents other people from using your device if they forcefully perform a factory reset on your device from either recovery or by flashing a new firmware.

In either of the cases, if a factory reset is performed on your device without your authorization (i.e. from device settings) then the Factory Reset Protection will kick-in when the device boots and ask for the Google account login that was last used on the device.
