I can't even bring myself to call someone who's actually being an insufferable jerk a "bitch," so referring to a loved one as such, let alone a spouse—even as a joke—is just unimaginable for me. I'd just feel like the biggest asshole. It's depressing to think that not only is the husband in this situation comfortable describing his wife that way, but the wife is used to it.

I know he wasn't a vegetarian, but I don't remember him thinking vegetarianism was silly. I could be mistaken, though. And he didn't "love" guns, as that implied. He did own one or a few, but he had very specific views on that. His arts were very all-consuming for him, and he considered himself to be rather radically liberal, except in a few senses. Meh. It has a couple good songs on it, but a lot of them were recycled old ideas. Because of everything that had been going on the previous couple years (all the touring, legal and drug troubles) there wasn't much writing or rehearsing going on. I don't like the sound much either.
